You are probably like me. A parent of school age children, who wants to be able to support them in all their schooling at sporting endeavours. In other words be a taxi driver, a part time teacher, and most of all, a stay at home mother. And it’s great fun!
With only one income it is hard to provide those little extra things that are important to everyone. Part time jobs are extremely hard to come by where you can work enough hours to make it viable to go to work, and yet still provide you the time to spend with you family. Another important thing missing in your life is the satisfaction of being able to do something for yourself!! Giving yourself the feeling of self worth and independence.
I searched website after website until I stumbled upon the idea of affiliate marketing. Not knowing a thing about marketing at all, I was also sure that there had to be a website out there that wasn’t a scam and would help me to get started. I didn’t have a lot of money available to try all sorts of things out, so I needed an “earn while you learn” program to help fund my venture.
I stumbled across the Wealthy Affiliate University website. It looked like all my dreams had come true! It is an online affiliate marketing school that allows you to learn at your own pace and can be fitted around a busy lifestyle. Provided all the key attributes required for any indiviual, no matter what experiance they have in marketing to succeed.
Excellent step by step tutorials, which cover all aspects of affiliate marketing. This gives you an overall insight into all areas of marketing. You are then able to try all or, my recommendation is to specialize in one area of affiliate marketing that you are most comfortable with. You are more likely to stick at it and succeed.
Being part of a community, where you have available to you a buddy system and forums that you are able to share ideas and ask questions. In my mind, one of the hardest parts of remote learning is feeling alone and not having anyone to share idea with or ask what you think may be dumb questions.
An action plan. To be successful while learning or in business. It isvital to have an action plan where you are able to set goals and targets to meet. This will keep you motivated and help prevent you from getting side tracked.
Excellent tools and resources that are constantly being upgraded to keep pace with the ever changing market, allowing you to create an income online while you are learning. Remember, you will never stop learning!
Armed with these key resources, it is an awesome way to learn marketing skills and techniques, in a community environment, with all the quality tools required to assist you in being successful. The only other ingredient to being successful is how much effort you wish put in, to get the results you want to achieve.

Just the other day, I had a conversation with Josh, a close buddy of mine. It was me who convinced Josh to pursue Internet Marketing. After much deliberation, he took to Internet Marketing. I recommended him to learn the nuts and bolts of Internet Marketing and he did so by registering with online forums and enrolling in a few other coaching programs.
After a while, I talked to him to know how things were going.
Josh said “Fantastic”
And I was really happy for him. I asked him, “So how much have you earned so far?”
He replied, “Nada”
I paused for a moment and asked, “So why did you say Fantastic”
He clarified, “Dude, I meant, I am really enjoying learning Internet Marketing. It is great, I just love it.”
I said, “That’s awesome, but what’s the use of learning when it doesn’t lead to earning?”
Josh thought for a moment and then we both sat down.
To my horror, I realized that Josh had spent well over five grand on ebooks, home-study courses and seminars.
And till date, he hadn’t earned a penny.
What’s worse, he hadn’t done a thing that would even give him that chance to earn a penny.
- Not a single article written
- Not a single PPC campaign
- Not a single blog post
As he said it was Nada.
It was time for introspection.
I opined, “Dude, are you nuts? What are you doing with all these DVDs and ebooks? Why haven’t you put these to action?”
He shrugged his shoulders, “I didn’t have the time”
That was the dumbest excuse, I would have ever heard. And I plainly let him know that.
